My Bike.... (Big pics, sorry)
My Bike.... (Big pics, sorry)
Hello,
Here are some pics of my bike. We dont really have any cool frames over here so i thought i would practice on some old bikes before i build a custom frame. Here are some pics of what i'm starting with.
I will post some more progress pics soon

Nice idea, to make a stretch cruiser of a trashy lady bike
but at first, u have to introduce yourself in the "new members" area
and now i have to push your thread in the right area of the forum, cause your bike isnt ready, and its better to shown in the "pimp my cruiser"
the pics arent to big
good luck for your further construction phases!!!

nice burrito bike (that's how they call those bikes at ratrodbikes.com).
where in AUS do you live? there used to be an chopper bicycle shop in Melbourne, Hellbourne Choppers. But I guess they're out of business.

Thanks lucky13, I'm in Brisbane and yeah there was a chopper shop in Melbourne but they seem to be very hard to get in contact with. I've had more luck getting parts from Europe and the U.S.

Re: My Bike.... (Big pics, sorry)
Ok my friends, this is where i'm up to on my project. On my first stretch i didnt like the route of my chain, was very close to a part of my anatomy that i'm quite fond of Here's a pic of the first one with the offending chain route.
So i've modified a castor hub to hopefully correct this problem.
Now to make a mount and attach it to the frame.

This is an awesome Bike with a really low Bottomtube
Why does it roll on 28"skinny tires?*
greets bernd
*I see there´s not enough space for big tires

I like your style, it's fresh: but maybe you can fit in some 28 x 2.00 '' oder 28 x 2.35 '' tires into the new frame, that'd look a lot better imho.
rock on.

FarradFreak: AT the time of building my first stretch i only had the parts that came with the old bike. Also i wasnt aware that you could get the crazy width wheels. As for my new build i've mounted 26" wheels.
MomotheSheep: Thank you, wider tyres would be a lot better too i think
The update: Well i had some free time today so i made a bracket for my chain router and temp mounted it. Also thought i would make a short of Ratrod style brake lever, we call them suicide sticks over here So on to the pics hope you guys like and Thank you for all your imput
