Re: RHLKUSTOMS/FIREBIKES frame exchange
@Ron:
Yes, the disc brake bracket is the same as the one I had on the Mobzter, I just had to cut a little corner off of the top of the iron cross drop out bracket for it to fit in all the way.
@Puti:
The paint was actualy one of the most fun for me to do so far. I couln't F'... it up....LOL! I basically sprayed the green base first then I randomly sprayed multiple layers of different colors (orange, blue, brown, black, ivory). This is where the fun part came...I took some steel wool and started scuffing down through the different layers of paint until I got the desired "old and worn" look even going down to the bare metal in some area's....now I'm just waiting for it to start rusting to complet the look!
Here are some close ups of the paint:
I know that lately the "trend" is to go bigger and bigger with wheel and tires(which I find very cool!) but I felt in this case the narrow front to back slim look would reflect the nostalgic feel of this bike more appropriately
Thanks for all of your comments, I'm glad that you like both bikes in their own way.

Re: RHLKUSTOMS/FIREBIKES frame exchange
@Rob:I think old looking rims,like those of Felt would look cool,they are not so wide (arround 50mm) but look old
Re: RHLKUSTOMS/FIREBIKES frame exchange
I like both ... Interesting to see how different bikes can be when beeing built up by two of the most popular bikebuilder of one country !
First one is very clean and looking fast, the second one nearly the total opposite ... Oldschool in perfection
Paintjob of yours is awesome, Rob
